Temple Beth Tikvah holds Shabbat services on Friday evenings and on Saturday mornings. Kabbalat Shabbat (Friday evening) services are held via zoom, except on the fourth Friday of each month, when they are held in one of the social halls. Shabbat morning services are held in the Main Sanctuary. There is an oneg or kiddush following most Shabbat services.
We are pleased to give honors (Aliyot) to our congregants and guests. Please call the Temple office, 967-3600.
Friday Evening Kabbalat Shabbat Service
We have traditional Friday evening services at 6:00 pm, via zoom.
Prior to our Friday evening services Minchah is held at 5:15 pm and our Simchat Shabbat Schmooze is held at 5:30 pm, via zoom.
On the 4th Friday of each month, we have a special family-friendly and participatory Thank G-d It’s Shabbat (TGIS) service with music.
The TGIS service is informal and includes lively melodies (many are Carlebach compositions) with musical accompaniment. There is usually a Shabbat dinner (with a moderate charge) after the TGIS service.
Shabbat morning service begins at 9:30 am, with Pesukei D’zimra, followed by Shacharit. The Torah service runs from approximately 10:00 am to 11:00 am. It is followed by a Sermon and the Musaf service. During some Shabbat morning services, a Torah Study is offered in the Pressman Chapel.
Shabbat morning services end at about noon followed by a kiddush for all congregants.
